With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Dan Rasberry, 72, of Pecos, Texas. Dan passed away on July 7, 2026, in El Paso, Texas.

Dan was born on August 21, 1953, in Brownfield, Texas, and graduated from Pecos High School. He spent his life working hard to provide for his family, working in the oilfield and shoeing horses.

Dan loved his family and friends deeply. He enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, fishing, riding horses, and team roping when he was younger. He was always willing to help his friends and family however he could.

Dan also enjoyed ranch life and especially loved working on projects with Tina Rhoads. The two were close and did everything together.

He is preceded in death by his father, Melton Rasberry; mother, Ruth Rasberry; brother, Dennis Rasberry; and daughter, Renae “Nae-Nae” Rasberry.

He is survived by his son, Quint Rasberry, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A Family and friends gathering will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pecos Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery, with Pastor Rey Carreon officiating.
