Damion "Jimmy" Arreguy, 47, of Pecos passed away on June 06, 2023.
Damion was born in Pecos, Tx to Rosemary Marta on April 10, 1976. He graduated from Pecos High School and remained a lifelong Pecos resident. On June 28, 1998 Damion married the love of his life Christina Akins.
Damion worked various jobs from corrections to the oilfield, where he always quickly advanced to a position of leadership. July of 2020 Damion found his passion fighting fires with the Pecos Volunteer Fire Department. This transitioned into a position with the Reeves County Emergency Services District (RCESD) as a Logistics Specialist and in January of 2023 was promoted to Fleet and Facility Manager. As the Fleet and Facility Manager he was responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of all the ESD facilities, equipment, and Apparatuses. Damion received his EMT certification in February of 2022. He enjoyed spending time doing anything outdoors, including boating, fishing, hiking, camping, and taking his Jeep off-road with his family.
Damion is preceded in death by his parents Rosemary & Fernando Marta and his abuela Narcissa Arreguy.
Damion is survived by his spouse Christina; Daughters Alexa Arreguy & Myra Arreguy and son Damion Arreguy Jr.; Brothers Fernando Marta, Rogelio Marta, Peter Harrison. Sister Monica Gomez Molina and Multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 10th 11:00 am -9:00 pm and Sunday, June 11th 1:00 pm-9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday at Pecos Funeral Home
Funeral mass will be celebrated for Damion on Monday June 12th at 2:00 pm at Santa Rosa de Lima with Deacon Rudy Villegas officiating. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.
