Bobby Lee Trammell

July 30, 1932 — April 4, 2026

Bobby Lee Trammell was born on July 30, 1932, in Weir Texas to W.W. and Alma Trammell and was the youngest of four children. He died peacefully in his home in Mount Juliet, Tennessee on April 4, 2026, surrounded by his family. Bob was known for his gentle nature and for his kind spirit that touched everyone he met.

Bob attended Llano High School in Llano, Texas, maintained close friendships from his graduating class, regularly attended class reunions into his 80s, and exchanged letters when travel was no longer possible. He was a loyal friend to many.

After graduating from Llano High School, Bob joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in the Artillery Division during the Korean War. In 2015, he was selected to take part in The Honor Flight Network Trip to Washington, D.C., visiting several military sites. When people would thank him for his service in the military, he would say, “I should be thanking my Country for the opportunity!” Bob was tough and rarely cried, but the National Anthem always moved him to tears. He was one of the good guys!

Following his service in Korea and discharge from service, Bob relocated to Pecos, Texas, where he met his wife, Anne. They were married on January 20, 1956, and enjoyed 55 years of marriage until Anne’s passing on June 14, 2011. Together, they raised two children: David, born in 1961, and Amii, born in 1968. Their daughter, Stacey Jo, was born and passed away on May 2, 1963. Additionally, Bob and Anne welcomed Tela Greene into their home, raising her as a member of their family.

Bob owned and operated Trammell Construction for many years, building and renovating homes, churches, and businesses throughout Pecos and nearby communities during his 50 plus-year career. He was active in numerous civic groups and frequently offered his time to help others.

Bob had his pilot’s license and had an absolute love for flying. He often shared about how much he missed it and said he wished he could do it one more time! In his younger years, he was a part of the Civil Air Patrol and spent a lot of time at the Pecos Airport.

He enjoyed coaching his son David on several Little League and Pony League baseball teams, and many of his former players remember him fondly. When David played for his high school baseball team, Bob and Anne attended and traveled to his games, and it was a big part of their lives. He also had a great love of golf, which he was able to do until he was 90 years old, and he shared this love with his daughter, Amii, and the two of them played together for many years.

For the last four years of his life, Bob lived in Tennessee across the street from Amii and Steve. He missed his friends in Pecos, but he was able to enjoy quality time with loved ones, a time which was priceless and treasured. Bob was a tough man, who worked hard to support his family, but Bob’s best traits were his kindness, his easy-going demeanor, and his trustworthiness, which lives on in his children and his grandchildren.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife Anne; his parents, W.W. & Alma Trammell; brothers, Dub and Ray; his beloved sister, Velma; his daughter, Stacey Jo; He will be deeply missed by his son, David (Robin) Trammell; his daughter, Amii (Steve) Addis; his six grandchildren (Heather, Tyler, Cade, Jason, Colt and Zane); his bonus grandchildren (Jake and Jared); and numerous great- grandchildren.
