Atilano “Tilo” Florez Villescas, 82, of Pecos, Texas, passed away on, September 25, 2024, in Odessa, Texas. Tilo was born in San Ignacio, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Atilano and Catalina Villescas on September 18, 1942. He married Julia Antelma Garcia on December 18, 1961 in Pecos, Texas. Tilo was a devoted family man who cherished being surrounded by loved ones. His sense of humor and memorable sayings endeared him to many. As the youngest of ten siblings, he was treasured by his numerous nieces and nephews, who remained close to him until the end. Tilo enjoyed his daily walks and was a die-hard fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros.

Tilo is preceded in death by his parents, Atilano and Catalina Villescas, his daughter, Irma Isela, his wife, Julia Villescas, and his siblings Teresa V. Cardona, Micaela (Mica) V. Cazares, Pedro Villescas, Anita V. Maldonado, Nicomedes (Nico) Villescas, Lorenzo (Lencho) Villescas, Dolores (Lolo) Villescas, Leonila (Nila) V. Valenzuela, and Catalina (Nina) V. Levario

Tilo is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lopez and her husband Jorge of Odessa, sons, Mario Villescas and wife Cynthia of 29 Palms, California, Hector Villescas and wife Melissa of San Angelo, and Alberto Villescas of Corpus Christi.

Tilo leaves to cherish his memory seven grandchildren, Jorge Lopez, Javier Lopez and wife Magaly, Catalina Morales and husband Jaime, Caity Sullivan and husband Jon, Gabriel Villescas, Ryan Villescas, Robert Villescas, and nine great grandchildren, Javi Lopez, Cecilia Lopez, Jorgito Lopez, Camila Lopez, Julia Lopez, Adrienne Morales, Arianna Morales, Andrew Morales, and Jameson Sullivan.

Pallbearers will be Jorge Lopez, Jorgito Lopez, Javier Lopez, Robert Villescas, Ryan Villescas, Gabriel Villescas, Raul Levario, and Freddy Villescas.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Monday, September 30, 2024, at Pecos Funeral Home with recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.
