Alexandra J. Mendoza

Alexandra Jaso Mendoza, 88, of Pecos, Texas passed away on December 15, 2025 in Odessa, Texas.

Alexandra was born in Balmorhea, Texas to Manuel and Maria Jaso on February 26, 1937. She went to school in Balmorhea, Texas. Alexandra married the love of her life Victorio L. Mendoza on January 24, 1952.

Alexandra also known as (Handi/Mommy) was a serene, compassionate, and caring soul, a wonderful wife, mom, and Grandma. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker, spreading love and warmth. She delighted in cooking for her family and passionately sang and danced, especially to her favorite tunes. Her love for dance has been passed down through her family, inspiring her kids and grandkids to keep her legacy alive with love and joy. Alexandra will be greatly missed by so many.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Victorio L. Mendoza, parents Manuel and Maria Jaso, sons; Joe Mendoza and Antonio (Tony) Mendoza along with daughter and son-in-law Juan and Mary Lou Perez, brothers; Leonel, Felix, and Hilario Jaso and sister Juanita Herrera.

Alexandra is survived by her son Rudy and wife Juanita Mendoza, daughters Synorina Reyes and husband Mario, Patricia Calderon and husband Paco, Linda Chavez, Ester Mendoza and husband Jimmy, sisters Eva Patino and Louisa Pargas, along with 16 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm at Pecos Funeral Home with Rosary to be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 18, 2025 at 10:00am at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas with burial to follow at Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Pecos, Texas.

Pallbearers serving will be Victor Mendoza, Rudy Mendoza, Robbie Saldana, Alfredo Saldana Jr., Mark Anthony Mendoza and Juan Perez.
