Adela C. Garcia peacefully entered into rest on Monday July 20, 2026 in Odessa, Texas.

Adela was born in Pecos, Texas on February 15,1952 ,to Enrique Meraz Carrasco and Consuelo Garcia De Ortega. Adela was the only girl out of all 5 kids. She also loved to bake empanadas de Calabaza. She married Ruben Jaquez Garcia on August 4th,1972 in Pecos.

Adela is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter AnaElia Carrasco Garcia. Her stepdad Jesus Franco Ortega , her brothers Hector Garcia Carrasco and Rogelio Garcia Carrasco. Adela is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ruben Jaquez Garcia. Her daughter Araveia Carrasco Garcia, her son Horlando Carrasco Garcia ( Spouse Nubia T. Gonzalez) Her son Ruben Garcia Jr ( Spouse Hilda C. Garcia) . Her brothers Lorenzo Garcia Carrasco and Mario Garcia Ortega.Her grandchildren Andrea Beltran, Kassandra Porras, Herbey Garcia, Alex Garcia, Hazel Garcia, Harleth Garcia, Yaire Garcia, Evelyn Morales, Eddy Colmenero, Adiel Morales, and  Ruben A. Garcia. Her great grandchildren,  Arabella Beltran, AraLiz Dominguez,  Amariz Dominguez, Haizley Navarette, Aiden Garcia and Elian Garcia. 

Pallbearers will be: Alex Garcia, Herbey Garcia, Enrique Carrasco, and Noe Carrasco.

Public Visitation will be held at Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Thursday, 23rd, 2026 from 1:00pm-9:00pm with rosary to follow 7:00pm.  The funeral mass will be held Friday, July 24, 2026 at Santa Rosa  De Lima Catholic Church in Pecos, Texas. Adela will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery.
