Manuel M. Archuleta 85, of Pecos passed away Saturday September 28, 2019 at Reeves County Hospital. He was born May 27, 1934 in Guadalupe Distrito del Bravo Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel Archuleta and Maria Munoz. He was a Catholic and a retired laborer after 30 years of service to Union Pacific Railroad.
Manuel was a known to be a handyman , a dancer, singer and at times a jokester. He enjoyed gardening but especially enjoyed the sport of boxing possibly while eating his specialty red enchiladas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Luis Archuleta, great granddaughter Kiara Archuleta, great grandson Sebastian Aguirre, sister Delfina Trejo, brothers Guillermo, Apolonio, Antonio, Isidro, Jose Maria and Pedro Archuleta
Manuel is survived by daughters Delfina Archuleta Zamora of Greeley, Co., Sandra Archuleta of Tornillo, Tx., Rosemary “Tootie” Archuleta, Lorena Archuleta, and Sally Archuleta all of Pecos, Tx. sons Oscar Archuleta and wife Lillian of Pecos, Tx., and Alonzo Archuleta and wife Gloria of Wichita, Ka.
Mr. Archuleta also leaves to cherish his memories 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1-great great grandson.
Visitation is set for Wednesday October 2, 2019 from 9am-9pm with a rosary at 7:30 pm at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be celebrated 10am Thursday October 3, 2019 at Santa Rosa de Lima Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery
Services under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
