Esther Elaine Moody, of Pecos, passed away on May 6, 2019 in Odessa, Texas.
Elaine was born in Cayote, Texas to Curtis and Evelyn Carlson on March 17, 1941. She attended school in Pecos and graduated with the class of 1959. She married Claude (Kinley) Moody on August 10, 1969. Elaine was a beautician for 45 years and was active at the Pecos Senior Center. She enjoyed playing games, photography, painting, sewing and spending time with family & friends.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert and sister Virginia.
Elaine is survived by her husband Claude, daughters Brenda and husband Neal, Melissa and husband Danny, and son William and wife Lisa. Grandchildren Drew and wife Niki, Cade, Kinsey, MaKala, Marley, and Lincoln. Great grandchildren Grace, Corbin, Cylas, and Hope. Brothers, Curtis Carlson Jr and wife, Kathy, and Jim Carlson and wife Dianne; sisters, Marilyn Moody and husband, Jackson, and Jackie Venske and husband, Ken, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins that will miss her dearly.
Memorials may be made to the Pecos Senior Center, West of the Pecos Museum, or your favorite charity. The family of Elaine wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Madison Medical Resort and Home Hospice of Odessa for their excellent care.
A memorial service will be held on June 1, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Another Memorial Service will be held in Clifton, Texas at a later date.
Services are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
