Donna Janelle Woodard, age 75, of Pecos, TX, entered her heavenly home peacefully on September 6, 2019, in Pecos, TX.

Visitation will be from 9:00am-9:00 pm, Wednesday, September 11th at Pecos Funeral Home.

The Woodard family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 11th  from 6:00pm – 8:00pm.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, September 12th at North Temple Baptist Church with Brent Freeman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are by Pecos Funeral Home.

Donna Woodard was born on April 25, 1944, to Bobby Dee and Don Berry. She eloped & married her long time love, Lessie “Woody” Woodard in Juarez, Mexico, in March 1959. They recently celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Donna loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family absolutely adored her. For many years Donna worked at First National Bank in Pecos, TX as the head teller. She served as the director of the Pecos Senior Citizen Center for Reeves County for several years.

Her life was a living example of the scripture Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Bobby Hannah; father, Don Berry; brother, Jodell Hannah; sister, Debbie Rater, granddaughter, Dakota Woodard and, grandson-in-law, Cory Vires .  Donna is survived by her husband, Woody Woodard, and three children, Leslie Gray and husband Rusty Gray of Monahans, TX;  Jodie Youngblood and husband Shane Youngblood of Wink, TX; and Michael Woodard of Pecos TX. She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be, Bubba Youngblood, Chad Gray, Daegan Arnold, Jacob Mayo, John Hannah and Luke Vires.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Mr. & Mrs. CT Echols, Dr. Cerna, the staff of Reeves County Hospital, Focused Care Nursing Home at Pecos, Mr. & Mrs. Weldon Brookshire, Mr. & Mrs. JC White, Mr. & Mrs. Kevin Zimdars, North Temple Baptist Church and all of the special people from Woody and Donna’s hometown of Pecos, TX.
