Socorro (Irma) Lara, 81, of Pecos passed away on August 26, 2017 in Pecos, Texas.
Rosary will be Held at 7:30 PM on Monday, August 28th at Pecos Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 29th at Santa Rosa De Lima Catholic Church with Father De La Cruz officiating. Burial will follow at Petrol (Lara) Cemetery.
Socorro (Irma) Lara was born in Shafter, Texas to Antonio Lerma and Esperanza Aguirre on October 25, 1935.
Socorro married Ismael Vasquez Lara on August 23, 1952 in Pecos, Texas. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loving friend.
Socorro was preceded in death by her husband Ismael Vasquez Lara, one son, Daniel Lerma Lara, and a daughter, Alicia Lara Carrasco.
Socorro Lara was survived by her sons: Ismael Jr and Betty Jo Lara of Gardendale, Texas. Jose Luis and Lucy Lara, Carlos and Deana Lara of Pecos, Texas. Surviving daughters include Hilda and Mark Mendoza of Pecos, Texas, Irene and Rick Campos of Hobbs, New Mexico, Icela and Mark Heinemann of Ruidoso, New Mexico and Imelda and Tito Mendoza of Monahans, Texas. Son-in-law, Ruvel Carrasco Sr. She was a beloved grandmother to nineteen grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Bobby Lara, Chris Lara, Ruvel Carrasco Jr., Justin Lara, Ricky Campos, Danny Romero, Mark Mendoza Jr., Joseph Campos, and Neno Mendoza.
Arrangement are entrusted to Pecos Funeral Home.
